Biggest tires without a lift

Whats the biggest tire you can run on a stock rim without a lift? I will be using spacers. I'd like to use either 265 or 255/70/17

Reason I'm asking is this is for my winter setup. I'm going to be running SRT reps in the spring/summer so I'd prefer to not lift it if possible.

Thanks

I don't think 70's will fit!

Ive got 265/65/17's without spacers. With the spacer you should be able to avoid that upper ball joint nut.

Re: Biggest tires without a lift

My plan is a 2" lift and then throwing some NITTO dune grapplers on my SRT8 reps so it doesn't look like a mexican wagon.

Re: Biggest tires without a lift

I'm running 245/70/17 as my winter set up. Plenty of clearance and did not have to trim bolt.

Re: Biggest tires without a lift

My Grand came with 245/60 18 Goodyear Fortera. Just upgraded to 265 60 18 BFG Rugged Terrain. They fit, no rubbing, no problem. No lift. The tire shop lopped off the nut at bottom of the upper ball joint, just to be safe. Nut always gets seized up anyway they say so it is useless. There was maybe 1 cm or less room, so very tight, but they go on. With the nut gone there is tons of space. Like the tires and Jeep looks better too.

Re: Biggest tires without a lift

I'm thinking I will run a 245/70 on mine. I dont't have a lift or spacers, I'm just cheap because a 245/65 is about 15 to 20 dollars more per tire than a 245/70 is. From what I'm hearing, I shouldn't have any clearance problems, correct?
