Bilstein Adjustable 5100 struts

Hey guy, I have done a bunch of searching on here and other forums to see if anyone has installed these struts and how hey like them. I am just trying to get some feedback on how the WK guys like them and how much lift they actually get out of them. I need shocks and struts now and figure these would be perfect for no lift and then to add some OME springs later. sub...

interesting, this may be just what I've been lookin' for.

the instructions say that these struts will NOT be factory height, it looks like they are 3/4" minimum increase out of the box, after that you can raise it up to 2". I'd like a photo of the front end at "stock height" and then with these struts installed at the 3/4" minimum.

Re: Bilstein Adjustable 5100 struts

yeah, I guess it depends on what you are trying to achieve. I want to level the vehicle and reduce sway.

Re: Bilstein Adjustable 5100 struts

I had them put two weeks ago. I have the front struts at 3/4 in lowest setting. Had srt8 front/rear swaybars put on also. It leveled the jeep out real nice. Ride and handling is night and day from stock.

Re: Bilstein Adjustable 5100 struts

Wait let me ask a stupid question. So just to level out your jeep or give it a tad bit extra ground clearance all you have to do is put those shocks in and that's it? Is it that easy or am I missing something here

Yes if you have stock suspension and just want to level it out. I have mine at the 3/4 inch lowest and it leveled it out real nice

Would it stress out the suspension components if you set it higher?

Re: Bilstein Adjustable 5100 struts

From what I have read no it does not. If you move the spring perch up it put preload on the spring which extends the strut which extends longer than say the HD bilsteins and give you the lift. The rear shocks extend a little longer than regular shocks or I think they have 5125 shock for higher lifted jeeps. Maybe someone can chime in with more knowledge on it. My buddy put mine on and I wasn't there when he did it.
