Calling All Aftermarket UCA Owners

After 30k miles with a 2" lift kit, I'm starting to think it might just be time to replace the stock UCA/ball joints with an aftermarket made for lifts. The current ones aren't making any noise but are quite pinched, which I know will eventually wear them out. So my questions are:

1) How have the aftermarket ones lasted? Do they need greasing/maintenance?
2) How will I know if my stock UAC's are going back. Will they give me any warning before some kind of failure?

I don't do any off-roading really. I just want the Jeep in tip top shape.

Thanks for any input!!

Re: Calling All Aftermarket UCA Owners

If UCA's go bad it start to produce ticking noise which is getting louder and louder. That means that there is more play and more metal to metal hit. Aftermarket UCA's usually are greasable so you have to take care to grease them regularly.

I am very interested to learn more about aftermarket UCA for the WK. I have a 2009 Hemi with OME HD lift and have the ability to replace the Bushings and Balljoints on stock UCA, so the question is would aftermarket UCA ride any differently in my setup?? My truck alligns perfectly as well so what gains do I expect to see if I upgrade my UCA into aftermarket ones?? Will the ride be more quiet for example?? Will my jeep handle and corner better?? Will the aftermarket balljoints used in JBA for example behave differently than stock equivalent ones?? I am just looking for practical feedback other than alignment issues since my wheels are perfectly aligned already.
