...figured this would get everyone's attention . After going through the pros and cons between bags or coilovers I have a decided to get bagged.
One of our Car Club sponsors has offered me a deal I can't refuse. For sometime I have been waiting for a response from a airbag suspension company so finally I have recieved the info. I was told to select the system I wanted to go with and for everything bought and installed will run me $1800. So I am going with it.
So it's looking like I will have to drop the side exhaust and run a full srt setup. After my audio install which should happen in the next week or two I will getting all the sponsorship paperwork done and product in hand. The jeep should be in the shop for 5-7 days.
In the meantime I am still waiting for the supercharger build...still no update on this. Anyways stay tuned for the continuing build of the West Coast Sickest SRT Clone, :slapfight:... hollah...
future up for sale will be the following:
Bwoody Lowering Spings (F/R)
SRT Bilstein Shocks (F/R)
Chop frame...wtf...not true bro...the install is easy if the people doing the fab work know what their doing. It's almost a plug and play except for the holes you would make for mounting and wiring.
Not a fan of the oversize rims on that white one, makes the truck sit higher and probably doesn't allow it to tuck as much tire as it could with a 24" or 22". I'm sure it will look better on your rig though.

Ahhh Nice!! Im still waiting on the Coilovers Hopefully soon...Cant wait to see Your Jeep on the grond you goot a Tuck those 4's...So SRT rear Bumper???
interesting...two things that can make you lay frame...roll fenders or cut out to wide body conversion....I just want the fender to be over the tire, not lay frame....
Ah, then you should be fine. IIRC airbag it.com was saying I would have like 3" of travel either way. That would maybe let you tuck the rims, but lay frame.
But these guys might get you a better kit, so best of luck man! Jeeps looks tight
Well for starters, the term lay frame doesn't really apply to our unibody WKs. It will require a lot of work to sit your Jeep on the ground. Laying frame applies to full/mid/mini trucks because they actually lay their frame rails on the ground and they do that by C-notching the frame rails and body dropping the cab, doing a body drop is a crazy amount of work on a pickup, I can't imagine the work required on a WK. The front end is the only thing that will tuck, if it was a 4 wheel independent suspension vehicle like most cars than the rear wheels would camber and tuck under the fender too, when you see a mini-truck like an S-10 laying frame it's because he has room to shorten the rear axle to bring the rear wheels closer together, generally they cut a portion of the box out, or have custom inner fenders made and welded in, that isn't possible on a WK, so the only way would be to roll out the rear fender a lot but youll still be limited to the height of the rear fender.
So with all that said, just don't expect that kind of drop from a $2000 air ride setup. It will still sit low but it won't be driveable if it's much lower than the bwoody springs you have now. Also If it's too low in the front while turning you run the risk of damaging your front fenders with your wheels, esp. those 24s
Make sure you get good components and good quality lines and fittings. Also get extra bags and keep your installers phone number handy, it sucks when you blow a bag. Also don't go to big on your valves it will make it slam really hard, I wouldn't go bigger than 1/2". having big lines, a good compressor and a decent size tank are key also.
With the offsets you have with your new wheels, your not going to get much benefit out of bagging. The rear suspension won't camber like it does on an LX car because you have a solid rear axle. If you really wanted any benefit out of bagging then you should have widen your rear quarters when you did all handle shaving earlier this summer. This way when you air the system out you would have had the room to tuck the wheels.
