Re: For all those who ask about 265/70/17

Mine is off by 5mph. I don't care though. It can be programmed by the dealer if the tires are only 2" bigger. Anything else larger will have to be tuned with an after market tuner.

Re: For all those who ask about 265/70/17

im not too worried about being off a few mph's either. i was thinking about adjusting the shift points. With an OBD2 you can adjust the wheel speed sensors to the revolutions per mile that the manufacture has set for the tire. I was just curious if anyone has done that or has had any problems.

Plus i just put the tires on about ten minutes ago. I had to cult the bolt to fit them. but the pinch weld doesnt rub, instead its the sway bar. I dont want to use spacers.
Anyone else have this problem?

I do but only at full lock but.....I never turn my wheel at full lock because I don't like the strain on the power steering pump.

Re: For all those who ask about 265/70/17

My speedometer is off by 5-6mph, but it isn't a big enough issue for me to go to the dealer, or buy a flashpaq to correct it. I just use the speedometer on my GPS.

Re: For all those who ask about 265/70/17

its programmed for the factory tires. it knows at what rpm to shift, and when you change the tire size it changes the rpms. it thinks there is a different load on it. rpms, speed, it all works together.

Re: For all those who ask about 265/70/17

I think once you fix the speedo, it automatically fix the shift points. I could be wrong.

Nick Kolak told me that a tuner he sold to a 3.7 WK owner said that it seemed as if it fixed the shift points when he fixed the speedo.

The tuner he sold to him ONLY fixes the speedo. It wasn't a tuner meant for the 3.7 because only recently SCT made a tuner for the 3.7

Hyper tech makes a tuner as well for the 3.7l. However it does not correct the shift points.

Fixing the speedo seams to correct the shift points.
