Angry Gearing swap

Hi i have a wk 3.7 2006 and i swapped the front and rear ring and pinions from 3.07 to 3.73 ,. the thing is that with the new ratio sends the tranny into safe mod ,i tried to program it with my hypertech but still doesnt work,. what can i do to make it work??

Did you swap out the entire front end from another grand cherokee?

I used only the ring and pinions for the front and the rear of a 4.7 wk ,.I took my jeep to the dealer today to reprogram for the new ratio and now it works great !!!!!

That is fantastic news! I've been thinking of doing this myself as well. Just worried I can't find a dealer willing to work with me to make the changes in the computer....

What kind of revs are you running at highways speeds? What size tires are you running currently?
Any feedback you can give us on how it drives now with the new gears?

I havent been to the highway yet,.but i can tell you that it pulls way better now !!
