Jerky

Every so often while at cruise and usually when transitioning from decel to accell I get a jerk like someone is bumping me from behind. I'm not sure if it is trans related, maybe the torque converter? or possibly engine related, maybe clogged injectors? Any ideas? (stats in sig) Thanks.

Dang sorry wrong section

Re: Jerky

I guess I could assume that the torque converter or this constant shifting will effect the MDS as well.

Re: Jerky

My 2005 does the same thing....a slight bump at very low speed....usually decel to a stop light. It hasnt affected the truck in 20k so I guess I've learned to live with it lol

Re: Jerky

Probably the MDS system. Do you also hear a difference in the exhaust note? Or do you have an MDS indicator which could tell you when it's on/off?

Re: Jerky

No difference in exhaust sound but can hear the engine RPM change.

Re: Jerky

2006 WK was doing this a lot, ended up pulling the throttle sensor and giving it a good cleaning. I was hesitant on buying a new sensor if I didnt need to. I kept thinking it was the transmission somehow, but as soon as I cleaned it thoroughly it hasnt really happened. It was cleaned previously with everything ripped apart, however, someone else was cleaning it for me while I was working on the plugs and it also stopped for a bit, then came back. When I pulled it out it was covered in carbon that I highly doubt built up from the previously cleaning to a year maybe later. The plunger seemed to glide now.

Just a thought, if it turns out to be the MDS I may need to take a look as well.
