Koni FSD and other suspension replacements

Hey yall, so i have had my 06 3.7wk since i was 16 (8years), got it with 12k miles and now its at 89k. The ride is really bouncy to the point that people comment on it. I was told I needed new shocks and struts by some friends and overall i have noticed a decline in the handling of the vehicle. What worries me most is that when i go over bumps on the highway when turning, the car will move left and right a little bit. So, i ended up purchasing a set of KONI FSD's before the 20% off sale on tirerack ended early in september. After a little more research it seems that there are more things that I should replace. Could i get some help as to what else i should investigate replacing? I mainly use this car for my commute to work and want to keep it for as long as possible. I plan on skiing alot this winter and want my vehicle safe and peace of mind when driving long distances. I dont mind paying for quality parts because I love my WK alot and want to keep it around forever.

How did it ride after the Koni's were installed? Have you had a front end alignment done recently? How is the tire wear? What items were recommended to you for replacement and did they say why they needed to be replaced?

I would have an alignment done and request the techs to check your front suspension wear parts/bushings, etc. prior to the alignment. If you feel qualified you can replace those parts yourself then bring it back to complete the alignment.

Second on that one, bushings and joints are really the other half of the equation in suspension work. Make sure everything is tight, and it will feel that way on the road.

Re: Koni FSD and other suspension replacements

Make sure to replace front strut mounts, lower spring insulators, and rear upper and lower spring insulators. With 90k, the stock control arm bushings and balljoints will be loosened up for sure. AT 100k I replaced all front and rear control arms with upgraded Moogs, etc, and really improved the ride and handling Also replace sway bar endlinks and bushings.
