their solution was to buy the studs from the wk2 and see if they fit on the wk, so you can use the wk2 lugs.

good luck to all who have done this and kept it like that.

I'm not sure I understand what "lugs wall should be on outside of rim" means. I went and look at the original Chrome Clads that came off my GC and placed the original lug nuts in the hole ....there is no overlap or outside the rim. They set down in the hole just like on the WK2 rim.

Yes Irfan...I will give you a call

im still contemplating doing this, ive got one set of Eibach 1" spacers and have fitted both front and back...

- Gripping threads is not a problem
- No rubbing WITH spacers front or back (no need for pinch weld mod)
- Trimmed the bolt

My whole issue is with the integrity of the 17" wheel lugs based on size. They do hold the wheel on but the overall circumference is smaller than those that come with the 18's (wow real scientific). Which leads me to believe they will fail either by cracking or pulling through. Add to that my concerns with spacers. In addition the 18's are heavier than the 17's which also brings up questions regarding bolt integrity.

The bolts on the spacers need to be replaced with 18" wheel bolts vs replacing the bolts on the 17" wheels in order to accomodate the original 18" lugs - imho - OR find lugs that have the same outer circumference as the original 18" lugs

at this point in time im looking at several other options...just cant risk it

its the same bolt pattern- so why couldnt you order spacers for a WK2 which will have the proper studs on them already?

that might have worked but i'd have to find/buy smaller nuts to attach the WK2 spec spacers to the WK wheel bolts. Eibach (1st choice) and Spidertrax don't have a WK2 spec spacer (check 4Sale forum later today for 1 set of Eibach 1" spacers)

if the shoe doesn't fit...

Re: Lug Nuts for WK with WK2 OEM Jeep Wheels

The OEM lugnuts on my WK2 with 18" wheels are M14-1.5, Mopar #6509422AA. The studs are thicker than than the 1/2"x20. Milous to note that Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - 2011-2014 Grand Cherokee Wheels and tires needs updating.

I just received an order of 10 lugnuts from Factory OEM Parts. Nine of them are marked with an "M" and fit perfectly. The tenth does not have an "M" and will screw on only a few threads. The nine are the correct WK2 M14-1.5 thread. I suspect the rogue nut has a 9/16" thread. Also the cones are slightly different. I've asked for a replacement. See the photos:
