Mini lift help

I'm going to redo the suspension in a couple weeks and need some help, even some pictures.

Here's my plan: 05 WK 5.7 4x4
XK hemi springs front and rear
Bilstien 4600's(have them now and love them)
Addco or SRT sways front and rear(which is preferred?)
XD rockstars 17x8 +35mm
255/70/17 BFG KO2's or Grabber AT2's
moog or bwoody links

I don't want a big lift right now and also know I can fit those tires without a lift, but I know I need new springs and struts(found the XK coils with 5k miles for $50). I'm just looking for a firmer ride and a little boost.

also, how much of a lift can I expect from that setup?

please feel free to give personal experience or thoughts

Re: Mini lift help

i currently run a XK coil, 4600s and a JBA strut spacer up front on my v8 WK. i run a SRT spring, 4600s and an extra coil isolator in the rear and im perfectly level. i did try the XK rear springs and i gained close to 2" of lift- my rear was almost the same height as it was with my BB. so i scrapped those in favor of the SRTs with an extra isolator. i run an addco rear swaybar and a front srt swaybar as well. ride pretty good if i do say so myself- i also run 255/70 hankooks.. im not 100% sure how much lift i gained from this set up, but its not much- its pretty subtle and the 255s fill the wheel wells perfectly. i also like that i can run a full size spare with no hitch modifications. im coming from a 2" BB to this set up and i can honestly say i don't miss the lift and 32s... 31s and a subtle lift is ideal for my daily driver

Re: Mini lift help

Thank you for the information. Did you have any problems with the Addco's fitting?

I only run the addco rear and I've had no problems at all.

Hi paroxysym - I like your setup! I am toatally new to this - just got my first Jeep 3 days ago - WK 2005 limited 4.7. This levelling thing does not leave my mind .... I always found the WK too high in the rear! Mine does not have any mods in that department. What would you recommend to get it levelled? Front slightly higher? Rear slightly lower? How so?

I don't need real offroad capabilities.

Thanks a lot, valley.

id play it safe and easy and level the front with the rear. a pair of bilstein 5100 struts set to .75 will do this no problem

Re: Mini lift help

I'm running 5100's front at .75 setting and 5100 in the rear. Srt swaybars and Bwoody end links. Extremely happy with this set up. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1443833097.149622.jpg

OK guys, thanks!

I just got it back from the body shop - looks like new now!

Now that I actually have my GC at home, the levelling thing doesn't really bother me too much. Looks pretty cool the way it is.

I ordered some new interior parts (Mopar - panels etc.) and now I am considering which audio/bluetooth/navi to get.

Monday I will mount the 18" wheels I got - looking forward to that!

Re: Mini lift help

How important are the JBA UCA's for lifted jeeps? I've decided to go the OME HD route and was wondering if it was something I should install at the same time as the lift or wait.

im going the same route, hell maybe even the MD instead. if youre not planning on wheeling on the reg or heavy- you can get by with OEM arms. if you have a lot of miles on your factory UCAs I would look into maybe a set of moog greaseable UCAs instead. if youre control arms look ok, you could wait- however, its already torn apart so go ahead and replace them and save yourself time.

I have Moog arms on now but they've got a few miles. I think I'm going to upgrade now for the peace of mind and like you said, it's already torn apart and no need to do it twice. Kolak has a really good deal going on right now, that's why I went OME. Got it for the same price as new bilsitens and XK springs so it was a no brainer.
