part number 58643 or 58646 for the load levelers?

#3 ·
I definitely have the 58646 on mine...which matches the part number listed on Monroe's site.

58643 is a fit as well. i bought mine a couple of months ago and are supposed to work for f-150s specifically, but are also secretly compatible with WKs lol

I think I remember reading about that a long time ago. Those are the ones that are slightly shorter, right? Makes the Jeep look more OEM instead of raising the rear by the couple inches like the 646's?

#7 ·
Wow those must be a pain to install. I practically couldn't get the mounting points far enough apart just installing the the 646's.

#9 ·
Oh that makes a ton more sense in lieu of the more recent posts in this thread.

The 643's have an extended overall length of: 27.55" and the 646's have: 24.870"

The one thing i did notice was the spring rate difference between the two:

643 - 60 spring rate = firmer feel & longer shock [F150]
646 - 37 spring rate = softer feel & roughly stock length [WK/XK]

So like Lucas said, the 643's are more suited for a lifted WK, whereas the 646 are mean for stock height.

I would just concerned about the difference in spring rates between the two part numbers. Now im up in the air as to which ones to get.

Wow the 646's are classified as a "softer" feel than the 643's? I'm glad I went with the 646's then, because they already remind me of sport tuned suspension when unloaded and loaded. Too much harder and you might forego suspension dampening all together....

That being said, I like sport tuned suspension and love the MLL 646's in my WK. They're like a perfect fit for my driving patterns, which is mostly street use with occassional towing.

so the 643 should be just fine with the rough country 2 inch lift? I hate how the lift made the back of my jeep look lower than the front.

I know exactly what your saying... mine appears to be higher up front too, but in reality its just larger front wheel wells giving that illusion

Going with those load levelers will most likely give you a bit of a raked stance, but also a little extra lift too.

Please post pics when your done and show us how they turned out!

People always ask me if I have a budget poly lift on my WK and I'm like no, that's the MLL's!

#17 ·
I've only ever seen them sold in pairs (because you have to have two of the same MLL on an axle...). The only way I could think for them to sell individually would be when replacing due to factory defects...but that's not selling, it's replacing...

Anyone using Bilstein struts up front and MLLs in the rear??
Also, Does anyone know how much extra inches of lift the MLLs provide in the rear?
I'm going to be replacing my shocks and struts in a few months and I'm looking to even my stance and go up in lift an inch...I know I asked a few people about this.. and have decided on two options...
With my Daystar BB, my current measurements are: Front hub to center - 20.75"
Rear hub to center - 21"
I know the bilsteins give you 3/8" more lift and that the MLLs give you a little more but I'm not sure of how much they give and which to use to be level... I am leaning towards the MLLs for the added lift but I do not want any rake at all...
My 2 options I've decided on are A: Bilstein struts and Rustys strut spacer up front with Bilstein shocks in the rear.. OR B: Bilstein struts and Rustys strut spacer up front with MLL shocks in the rear...

I'd prefer to get to 22" both front and rear hub to center which is why I'm leaning towards the MLLs, but I'm not sure if they will be even with the 2 additions in the front or not.. Any measurement help on the MLLs?? Thanks.

I'm at work currently and I will be busy afterwards for a bit, but I'll upload a pic of my stance later on tonight.

dane.p, what are your center hub to fender measurements with the RC lift and MLLs? Would you mind posting a pic of your stance as well? And you have stock struts, right?

I'll be adding Bilstein HDs and one set of rustys strut spacers up front.
Debating on MLLs or Bilsteins in the rear.
I like the extra lift the MLLs provide, but I hate the rake they give... not sure if it will be too tall for the bilsteins and strut spacer up front. I'd like it to be even up front with the rear.
My current measurements center hub to fender are:
front - 20.75"
rear - 21"
I'd like to be at 22" all around.

Here is a pic of my current stance with a 2" Daystar and stock shocks and struts.

Guys they are being shipped as we speak! I went with the taller ones, Ill be sure to let everyone know how they look.

pics and center wheel hub to fender before and after measurements, please! :D

Here we are! This is what it looks like with a 2 inch Rough Country lift with Monroe LL from an F-150 on the rear and with 245 65 17's. Not too bad of a look but you can bet that when these new tires get worn down you will see a set of 265's under this beast. The ride is amazing, I dont have as much body roll like I used to. It rides really nicely.

looking good:thumbsup:.. your WK is really begging for some 265s now.:D

Did you/can you get some measurements for us?
center wheel hub to fender..front and back. please and thank you.

Everyone kept telling me the LL for the F-150 would be too stiff, it actually is a lot better of a ride than stock. I am really pleased with the ride quality. Thats if anyone really wants to know :)

jreynolds

What do you have up front? It looks stock, but i'm trying to guess what mine will look like since we seem to have a similar setup.

#39 ·
yes it those will fit and it should raise the back of the jeep a little bit and level it out with the front end better
