Monroe Quick strut complete assembly

Want to swap out my original front shocks, on 113,000 miles, and came across the Monroe complete assembly. Just wondering if anyone has any reviews on them.

Part # 171377L and 171377R (Both sides)

This would save me ample amount of time as I refuse to have the dealership replace these for me.

Let me know if you know anything about them.

Re: Monroe Quick strut complete assembly

I have an 06 wk with 109k, just replaced my factory front struts and springs with these. They restored the ride back to like when it was brand new, nothing less or more. If you are happy with the ride with the factory stuff, you will be very happy with these, but if you hope these would give you a better ride, you should look for something else. I replaced my front brake pads and rotors at the same time, took me about 4hrs each side. The lower control arm bolts are tough to remove, tons of threads out there about that. You will definitely need an impact wrench and a can of pb blaster. Good luck!

Re: Monroe Quick strut complete assembly

Yeah I just want to restore it back to factory feel. They originals are starting to sag a little and I can hear them grind/max out when I go over bumps. - I am not as mechanically inclined as I would like to be, but the quick strut assembly would be doable. - I found them on amazon for $100, each. Not bad pricing on them either.
