Need advice on adapting wheels
I need some guidance and advice from the wheel gurus on the possibility of adapting wheels that are not meant for a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited.
I'm looking at a set of 22" BMW X6 215 series replica wheels, with a bolt pattern of 5x120. Fronts are 22x9.5 with an offset of 40mm, rears are 22x10 with an offset of 35mm. Now, obviously I know I will need to get 5x127 to 5x120 adapters, but what else do I need to consider to help me make this decision? What thickness adapter would I need based on those offsets/widths? What about bore size, do I need to consider anything there? If my research is correct, it seems the new wheels have 2 different bore sizes, with the fronts being 74.1mm and the rear 72.56mm.
Based on willtheyfit.com, it seems everything will be "ok" (assuming I am reading it right), but I don't know if or how far they will stick out with adapters.
Are there any questions you can think of that I need to ask the seller? Since they are replicas, he hasn't been the greatest at getting me answers, but I'm trying to search on the web as much as possible to find the answers.
It's a killer deal, with all 4 rims (freshly powder coated black) and 4 Pirelli Scorpion tires for under $900, and I love the look of them, so I'm hoping it possible. I just need some advice on if it's even worth pursuing or trying to make them work.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
