Re: Need new tires

Congrats on those tires they look great. I just took off the Rugged Trails after a few years of use, and absolutely loved them. They were good handling, great in wet conditions, quiet, and surprisingly good in the snow. If I had seen the same advertisement closer to me they would be on my truck now. However I was contemplating buying snow tires, and the day before this storm that just hit the Northeast. The Blizzaks weren't in stock neither were the Rugged trails. So I ended up going with the Pegasus Advanta Suv The tread pattern showed good siping, the drainage pattern looked good, and the price was a steal. Like you said budget is very important to me also. They have done well so far, and really surprised me with its performance in the snow. The only drawback is they only had 245-65-17, and I really wanted to step up in size. Just thought I'd throw this option out there for any one else frugal ( cheap like me ) considering tires.

Re: Need new tires

I have Cooper AT3's and 11 inches of snow yesterday. These tires are awesome, great traction and control with little slipping. I had Firestone Dest. AT's before these and the Coopers are much better in the snow, really no comparison. Coopers are also much smoother and quieter on the Hwy where the Destinations were rough, noisy, and bouncy.
