need new tires... what do you recommend?

So I noticed I had a flat this morning and instead of patching it I am just going to get a new set. They were pretty bald anyways and I was going to get new ones this fall. The size I have on there now are 245/65 R17 105T

What brand would you recommend? I do mostly city driving but do occasionally go off the beaten path at our farm for hunting. I also live in Minnesota so I want a tire that will handle the snowy winters good.

I was going to go to discount tire.

Thanks for your help!

Great. I actually was looking at those online and like how they look. They were a decent price too. My old man just put those on his Dakota work truck and he really likes the
. Thank you.

Go to tire rack for reviews and for an idea on price, then buy local.

In Minn with all the snow you get, you might want to take a look at the Goodyear Duratracs.

Re: need new tires... what do you recommend?

Just for fun I went on tire rack and compared tires. Without looking at price I narrowed my selection down to two, and one happened to be the Goodyear that are OEM and the other was a Bridgestone. The Bridgestone was rated better, V speed rating and overall a better tire but nearly twice the cost. So is it twice as good? Probably not. And the Goodyear is made in the US.

Re: need new tires... what do you recommend?

Will the 245/70/17s fit in the spare? I have a hitch as well. I'm looking to get 5 tires soon and don't want to do any hitch mods.

Re: need new tires... what do you recommend?

they should fit. i think the 255/70/17 you can fit up there if you mod the hitch mounting bolts.
