I have the rocky road budget boost and I need new control arms....are there any after market parts that will fit the budget boost better than the OEM parts.

I put on the Rocky Road lift about three years ago....soon after I was getting a knocking sound from the front. Like an idiot I ignored it.

Turns out the upper control arms don't allow the suspension to sit at the right angle...the lower and upper ball joints are shot....as well as the outer and inner tie rods...on both sides.

I found new upper control arms from JBA that are made for Jeeps with lifts.

I ask because I am going through a similar issue. I never had any noises but I started having alignment issues. The outer half of my 2 front tires were wearing real bad.

I was told my tie rod ends were loose and needed to be replaced, so I did and low and behold it turns out the steering rack is the problem(or so I hope). Thankfully I didn't have to pay for the tie rod install as it was the mechanic who messed up.

Ya...RRO stinks...at least they did 3 years ago....can't speak for them now. I have a really interesting story about their directions they sent out for install...I almost contacted their state attorney general....lol...but that's for another time.

I would replace the upper control arms and if need be and the inner and outer tie rods...if there is play its shot or close to being gone. Also take a look at the lower ball joint as well.

Had I replaced those upper CA's before I would have save myself about a $1,000 in parts and labor...I would normally change it myself but I don't have time to wrench around anymore.
