Beat me to it a.k.a. x2...

If I were OE I would have handled it the same way. Lawyers and assholes ruin everything.

Re: New SRT Reps Out of Round Problem?

I know your tires aren't new,but do they still have the dots on them? the little dots (paint dots) are supposed to be lined up with the valve stem(for the hi/low). not all tire shops do this, and some even get pissy when you tell them to(heaven forbid someone else knows how to do their job) but thats supposed to be the quick 99% way to do it.

Re: New SRT Reps Out of Round Problem?

I had the same problem with one of my reps, and even though I have a GSP 9700 Hunter Road Force machine I wasn't able to get it perfect. My advice to everyone is have your reps checked for out of round before they mount the tires on them. Makes it easier to go back to the manufacturer since they tend to put up some resistance once you actually mount a tire on the rim.

Angry Re: New SRT Reps Out of Round Problem?

Well my tire guy is still working on them, They are vibrate at 70 mph, He said there is a little wobble spining the wheel not so much unless looking for it. So the next thing is turning the tire 180 degree to found a better place to to sit better on the rim. This just sucks, I wish OE wheels would just send me all new wheels and I do not have to pay to get them. I just cannot believe I am the first of hundeds of sets sold to have all these problems. You new 22inch reps guys better check your wheels first.
Oh 402 motoring ,I do not know if you read the whole thread but I asked discount tire to check to make sure the rims were round, But they told me they had to mount tires to check that. BIG FAT BS
This is my first set of new rims, All the rims I bought in the pass were from other jeep owners. I never had a problem with them at all.

Re: New SRT Reps Out of Round Problem?

Yeah that's bs because you can check the roundness of the rim with the GSP 9700 without a tire on it.
I should have checked mine but I've never had this problem with a new Aftermarket wheel before. The wheel should have never been boxed in china in the first place. OE wheels needs to get better control of that.

Angry Re: New SRT Reps Out of Round Problem?

Well the shop I should have taken too in the first place spent two days balancing move the tires, He did the best he could, But he told me the rims are out 100grams all in the same spot around where the sensors are and tires out 25 grams. My tires are the general tires have about 18k they are go for 20k that is it. So I may get new tires see what that will do. I am going to call OE wheel talk to high up see if I can get new wheels without paying for shipping.

I had a hell of a time with my 305's on my Mustang. Took them to 2 different shops and they where "fine" but I still had a shimmy. Finally took them to a place with a Hunter Road Force and they were perfect

Re: New SRT Reps Out of Round Problem?

Well OE wheels want me to do a road force one of the rear tires with the most weights, I just got to find a place that has a road force machine. OE wheels thinks it maybe my tires. If so what is a good tire to get.
