Newbie/Dumbass looking for some answers!

Hello ladies and boys,

I'm new to this site. Took me a bit to finally register but am very enthused about everyone's knowledge. Anyways, I am the PROUD owner of an 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee and have only had it for about 8 months and it's time to start making it mine. First off, I need some new tires. Now, I'd love to do a lift in it but as a college student working in law enforcement, money isn't really there right now so I just gotta keep her as she is. I guess I am just looking for as sick of a look as I can get. She's at stock height and I want to do some spacers but don't know the logistics of it all.So guys, here's where I turn to you. What All Terrain Tires do I buy to make her look bad and also give it a nice ride? And with that being said, what's the best combo I can do with the AT Tires and maybe a spacer mixed in behind the tire? I live in the Northern hills of New Jersey where it's almost impossible to get around in winter without a good set of tires, and a Jeep of course! Let's hear it guys!!! Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum! I have the Goodyear Silent Armors on mine and they're pretty damn awesome! They have an agressive tread for an AT but a super quiet. What engine do you have?

Welcome to the forum. There are a ton of great AT tires out there. I'm running 245/65 (stock size) Bridgestone Duelers AT's right now, with 1.5" Spidertrax spacers, and a JBA leveling spacer in the front. When it comes time for new tires, I think I'm going to go with General Grabber AT2's in 255/70. Do a little reading and research and you'll be able to find a good AT tire in your price range for sure.

If cash is tight, keep an eye out for people selling take-offs from one of the newer wranglers. They have the same size hole pattern and look great with a budget boost. If you can do the work yourself, you can pick up a lift for around $150 and if you find the right deal, you can sell your set of rims and tires for close to the same as what you can find for the takeoffs. I have Sahara 18’s on mine with a Daystar BB and I’m super happy with my setup. I would like to put a little extra lift in the back, either with new springs or load levelers sometime in the future, but looks so much better than stock as I have it now.

Hello welcome.

Here is mine, with the stock tires x spacers (spidertrax) x air dam delete combo. They poke out quite a bit. Not too shabby in my opinion. Will upgrade to more aggressive tires later down the road. Hope this gives you an idea of how things would look.

^^ Pretty much the same setup as mine except the bull bar. I love the wider stance.

Re: Newbie/Dumbass looking for some answers!

Welcome. If you have descent tires right now I would suggest spending the money on a lift. Tires are going to cost you about $400.00 a lift will cost you close to that so if you have decent tires go lift first. You will want bigger tires anyways after you do a lift and this will save you that $400.00 that you would of bought tires for. Im sorry you said you need tires. In that case for a good look I would install the spidertrax wheel spacers you need the 5x5 bolt pattern they are listed for the jeep commander ( same size ) they run about $200 shipped but will put your tires out of the wheel well
