Newby Needs Help!!

Hey Everyone,
Im new to this site and new to my '06 WK. Bought her last March and I LOVE HER!!! Im starting to look in to some upgrades and am debating a 2" lift. Iv seen a lot of WKs on here with 2" lifts but they all have bigger tires on them. I put on some new Michelin LTX M/S tires when I bought it and dont plan on buying new tires any time soon! I also drive A LOT of high way miles so im not trying to lose a lot of MPG. So I was wondering everyone's opinion on whether or not I should lift her and if so any recommendations for a good company and any tips or tricks for installation. I appreciate everyones help! Oh and im in college so my budget is also a concern, tools are not a concern though.

Thanks,
Zach

Re: Newby Needs Help!!

If you don't want to lose mpg's don't lift it. If you do decide to lift it you can always sell your current tires on Craigslist if they have decent tread and put that $ toward bigger tires. As far as lifts go Rough Country or Rocky Road Outfitters make very reputable spacer lift kits. Old Man Emu makes a 2" suspension lift, Daystar makes a spacer lift - though I don't see as many of those on the forums. Depending on the miles on the rig - you may consider waiting untill the struts/shocks need replaced (usually 50-60K miles on factory) and put aftermarket strut/shocks on with a lift.
Good luck!

Is it possible to get some height from after market struts and shocks?
