Unhappy Noob question on a wheel with 10" wide wheel width

Aloha guys [and gals] to another 1 of my threads. I have another question for y'all which I need help [or advice on] a question regarding wheel width. I know that some or most of y'all are gonna say that I should add spacers to go with my wheel hub but that's not why I'm here. I already know through experience that wheel spacers/adapters add SOME inches (outward) to extend the wheel past the fender. I'm here asking if a rim/wheel that has an excess of 10" or higher (in this case, WIDER) would actually stick out?! The current rims I have on now are eaten up by numerous reasons. Weather, salt air/water & ect, ect. I just wanna straight shot answer or any pictures or advice, something with PROOF that any rim with a size 10" or wider would actually STICK OUT regardless of me having wheel spacers or not!!! Please, no sarcasm, negative remarks or what not. Mahalo y'all!!

Re: Noob question on a wheel with 10" wide wheel width

Well the srt8 runs a 20x9 with a +35 offset (front) and a 20x10 with a +51 offset (rear). and that fits in the wheel wells fine. If you go wider than this it is likely that the tires will stick out. The rear wheels on a srt8 won't fit on the front. What is your goal, do you want the tires to stick out past the fenders or keep them under the car?

The guys who run 275/45 r20 on 20x9 +35 rims have said the rubber sticks out a little bit. I haven't seen one in person, but it's a popular combo. If you do a website search you should find some pics.

the LOWER the offset...the more it will stick out. Like a +10 would stick out past your fenders

I agree with scott, and don't go higher on the offset or the tires will rub on the inside.
