Powdercoating Stock 9080 Everest Wheels

So last October I did a bunch of Plasti-Dipping as an experiment to see how I liked the look of some black items on the truck. I did the Grille, side chrome trim & wheels. I ended up loving the look of everything.

I bought, from Ebay, a painted gloss black grill for $50. I got a set of thin black door trim for free from a wrecked car on craigslist. And today I dropped it off to have the factory Everest 9080 rims powdercoated Semi-Gloss Black. I didn't like the flat and IMO the high gloss black was just toooooo shiny.

The rims will get a full restoration, all scratches and dings removed, etc. And by some miracle it's only a 1 day turn around time. I'll be able to get them back tonight.

Can't wait to see it and I'll post up some pictures as soon as it's in my possession again!

They came out so awesome!! I'm so pleased. They look bran new, no scuffs or curb rash anywhere.

Eventually I'll mount these with some 267/70/17 Duratracks one the OME HD goes on.

Did you ever get pictures taken. I was thinking about doing it myself. I'd love to see pics of the painted rims.

Awesome. I'm so doing it. My WK is silver as well so it made that decision easy.
