Put Bilstein 5100's/srt sways on!!

I had a buddy of mine put some bilstein 5100's and front and rear srt sway bars on. I had him put the front struts on the 3/4 in lowest setting and it leveled the front out real nice. All I can say is the ride and handling is amazing. There is absolutely no sway when you go around corners and soaks up bumps with ease. Will try to get some before and after pics up.

Re: Put Bilstein 5100's/srt sways on!!

The handling improvement is from the SRT bars and new bushings. I put the SRT bars on first with the OEM shocks and the handling was transformed, but it also handled better than when I put on Bilstiens afterward. I realize the excitement over new parts going on to replace worn ones, but I had that same setup for a year and my experience is quite different; I couldn't stand it any longer, i.e., harsh ride over bumps, and being overly bouncy with relatively poor handling. I removed the Bilstiens and now with the Koni FSDs handling is far better, and ride is so much smoother without all the bouncing around. I'm now considering putting the stock sway bars back on to smooth out the ride more, as our roads suck up here in the rust belt and SRT bars add a good degree of harshness on bumps.

Yes i remember you said you disliked the bilsteins I like the ride with the 5100's. Its not that bouncy. I looked at the Koni's but they were to much. I took it over some Bumpy roads and the highway and was very happy with them. Thanks for your input.

Re: Put Bilstein 5100's/srt sways on!!

I actually like my Bilsteins but I also have SRT8 springs which might help. I would never go back to stock....the oem shocks are just awful.
