Quadra lift slamming

Guys I've been looking around but haven't been able to find a definative answer, can I lower my 2013 crd summit with quadra lift?

I intend on throwing on a set of 24 inch wheels but I would like to sit the car down probably 1.5 front maybe 1.5 or possibly a bit more in the rear.

I would still want the ability to lift the car if required?

I understand this has a whole lot to do with sensors etc so it's not as simple as taking the car to an airbag mechanic.

Appreciate any advice.

Re: Quadra lift slamming

Hi, There's a few of us on here who have lowered our quadra lifts, you won't be able to go as low as you want as it'll be running on the bump stops and its rough, I have about 2" gap between wheel and fender and its not bad with no bottoming out.

Below is a little write up I did, i've lowered it a bit more since these pics were taken.

Lowering / Levelling QL

Hope this helps. Rob

Re: Quadra lift slamming

That looks pretty easy, any problems at all? Appears as though your just tricking the sensor?

I could make adjustable rods so I can play with the heights to get them right.

Appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.

Re: Quadra lift slamming

The only problem I had was lowering the rear too much and it bottoming out too much, cured with adding a couple of mm to the length and all sorted.

Re: Quadra lift slamming

How much would you recommend shortening front and rear?

Re: Quadra lift slamming

My rear is 12mm shorter than stock, and for the front I straightened the front sensor arm as much as I could so its nearly straight, If you start off with the rear then keep adjusting the front to match, you can pull the arm off in seconds and just keep making small adjustments.

Re: Quadra lift slamming

I read you shorten rear and lengthen front? Is this due to we're the sensors are located just doesn't make sense to me, hey another question how's the bluespark holding up? I've been reading up on a spider performance system?

Re: Quadra lift slamming

Your right, shorten the rear and lengthen the front. The Bluespark is good for the price, I had a Spider box on my old 300c and it worked good, just more expensive. I have mine going in for a custom map on Thursday so I'll post how it goes and if its worth doing, fingers crossed it works better or it'll be a waste of money.

Re: Quadra lift slamming

I don't know of any intake or exhaust mods for these yet, I guess the best bet for exhaust would be custom but you'll still be stuck with the cat and DPF as I don't think anyone has managed to remove them without upsetting the ECU.
