RC 2" Lift: Soooo close but no cigar...

We started doing the lift on the front left wheel, and we had everything taken care of except for getting the strut out of the well...Is the spring compressor really needed for this part? Cuz we could not get this thing out lol

You need to fully remove the strut. Also, remove one bolt from the sway bar link. I stepped on the lower control arm to pull mine out and get it back in

+1

The spring compressor is only needed up front if you changing out the front shocks. Otherwise no you will not need it for the fronts.

...just follow the install guide on Rough Countries website:

Re: RC 2" Lift: Soooo close but no cigar...

Just did this install myself. If you think getting the strut out is tough, wait til you try to put it back in with the spacer attached. I found it MUCH easier to R&R the strut by removing the upper control arms. I have no idea why they didn't just put that in the instructions, it only took an extra 10 min. and saved me a ton of frustration. With them out, my struts slid right in... no spring compressor necessary.
