Review: Upgraded WK2 to Nitto Terra Grappler G2's in 275/55/20

I wanted to report back my review of upgrading from OEM Goodyear Fortera tires in 265/50/20 to the new Nitto Terra Grappler G2's in the larger size of 275/55/20.

Here is my original post 18 vs 20" tires

While installing tires we discovered a minor rubbing issues in rear tires that was easily fixed, my explanation and pics can be found here:
Nitto Terra Grapplers (max size for overland?)

I now have about 1500 miles on the new tires and love them. My observations and thoughts are below:

MPG: my mpg decreased by 1.6 mpg going from 265/50/20 GY Fortress to the Nitto 275/55/20.

Speedometer is now off by 2 mph less than actual speed as tested by iPad mph app with built in GPS.

Noise - these are AT tire so they are louder than GY Fortera, BUT they are NOT a loud tire. Although a little louder but it really isn't very noticeable. MY GY's were at 4/32's when replaced if that matters.

Ride - I think they are smoother than OEM GY Forteras and less noisy over bumps. They seem to absorb road imperfections gentler and quiter than Forteras, this could be because of thicker sidewall of G2's.

Overall extremely pleased with tires and larger size, actually I couldn't be more pleased. One of the biggest advantages is looks. The Jeep looks much more aggressive with the bigger AT tires, they really fill out wheel well and even though tire is only 3/4 or 1" taller, I can feel it getting in and out.
