Re: Rotors and Pads - R1 or other??

brad go with r1 rotors and wagner thermo quiets. you're not racing or anything close to that so that is more than you need. you will get performance and no dust with them AND MOST IMPORTANTLY NO SQUEEKING!!!!

make sure you bed them in properly and put antiseize on the ends of the pads when installing!!!

Re: Rotors and Pads - R1 or other??

Slotted are the way to go. I've got Stillens and they are awesome. I put on pads and rotors and there was definately a noticeable difference. Had them on for about 30,000 miles and they have rocked!

Re: Rotors and Pads - R1 or other??

You can buy rotors and pads from R1 for about $350 shipped. I called and got a quote. I won't be able to get them anytime soon though.

Re: Rotors and Pads - R1 or other??

If you're running significantly bigger/heavier tires, racing, or towing big loads through mountains every day then I'd say the R1 combo is worth it. Otherwise the Thermoquiets are more than capable of handling most everyday driving conditions(even spirited ones) and occasional towing. Order them off the advance website and make sure to find a promo code. Right now they are running 20% off plus $50 off your next $100 purchase. Just make sure to also get a bottle of their synthetic caliper lube/anti-squeal as the thermos tend to be a bit sensitive to vibration noise/squeal. Hopefully you can cut your rotors. If you need new ones I would stick with the mopars. Whatever you do DO NOT get the value line rotors..
