Re: Rotors and Pads - R1 or other??

Drilled only. Slotted do nothing but wear down the pads a lot faster. There are good reviews to back this up.

From all the people on here I've asked and all the reviews I've seen, I'm going with R1 drilled only.

I asked about them warping and Scott said he has never heard of anybody with warping R1 rotors.

Hi, I have a 07 wk 4.7L Flex and looking into geting R1 rotors with wangner thermoquiet pads. Now im on R1's website and what do i select under "specs" under make, model, year? It says exc srt8 or srt8. I dont have srt8.

Im looking for somthing that will help with stoping power because of all my extra weight in the back, also my oem rotors are warped and have 80k on them. For some of you that dont know I got the loudest WK. have about 1800lb in stereo equipment.

This is what im talking about. I need some braking power to stop this tank.

If you like to see more of my setup thats my yt account and just look around

Now Im on a buget since I just lost my job on christmas eve
Any parts number or links whould be very helpful on what will fit and work on my wk. Thanks

R1 concenpts and others incorectly make claims that slotted rotors offer benefits. Instrumented tests have proven this is not the case, underany diving conditions, and slotted rotors degrade pads at a much faster rate. R1 concepts is not a manufacturer, and their rotors are made elsewhere (likely imported), which they cross drill, slot, etc.. I just installed Powerslot alloy cryo's, the choice of numerous race teams, now available for the WK through Tirerack.

Me too. I read from a reliably article posted from racers somewhere that slotted rotors for a daily driver are no good. Cross drilled however, are good.

I really want to figure out the BEST application for my Jeep:

Daily driver, aftermarket wheels...I want better stopping performance, less brake dust and extended pad life...

please post your exact setup, why you went with it and how you like it
