Re: Rotors and Pads - R1 or other??

Any opinions on Wearever rotors? With a promo code two front rotors can be had for $65. Rotors are originally $50 each.

I was planning on pairing these with Wagner ThermoQuiet ceramics, then read somewhere this might not be a good pairing.

I have 120K, don't drive agressively, do mostly city stop and go driving, and really am just looking for OEM quality replacements or something a little better. No need for drilled or slotted.

Good things to say about R1 on here and I would be willing to spend the extra $ if quality warrants it.

Again thoughts on Wearevers or other similar brands? Thanks.

Biggest issue on the WK close to OEM spec rotors is the easy warping. Most go for R1 or EBC because they don't warp basically ever. I replaced my OEM rotors which were heavily warped by 60k with EBC sport drilled/slotted rotors paired with the Wagner Ceramic ThermoQueiets and it's been the best braking system I've ever run. I drive aggressively and I still have over 1/2 the pad at another 60k on them.

Wearever seems to be closer to OEM spec than anything based off of my limited knowledge of them. I'd recommend R1 or EBC if you're going to do the conversion. This way you'll only have to buy once.

I can also attest to that. My jeep does see the ocassional track day/drag strip duty. Went r1 and never looked back. That and the ceramic pads and now waiting at home are my SS brake lines.
