Re: Rumor has it: J.B.A. 8" lift kit for 05 & up Grand Cherokee

Thanks for all of your replies! I guess now I know what y'all feel about this lift kit from JBA. I know now what route I wanna take but I just wanna know how I would have to stack lifts in order to gain more inches? I know most of you guys run Superlift kits out there but I plan on running the Zone 4" kit & stack on a couple inches to gain a lil' more than just 4 inches.....What do y'all think of the Zone lift kit? I just wanna be different as far as owning a lift kit that the majority of y'all have out there.

The biggest negative to the Zone kit
is that it doesn't give you 4 inches of lift. For the same money you can get 4 inches from the Superlift Kit.

Personally I am not going to stack
my Superlift because I want to keep the factory drive angles.

Damn, that sucks bro! It's a shame that Zone doesn't give you the full "4 inches" of lift.....Really wanted to be different & go with da Zone kit but if SL has more QUALITY than Zone, shoot, I'd get the SL! If I was rich, I'd buy all 3 lift kits for my WK; SL, Zone & JBA & mix and match parts to make it 1 hell of a lift kit for my rig! But that's only wishful thinkin' & I'd probably go for da SL kit & the OME stacked. But oh well, it is what it is.......

If you check out jayloops build thread he has ~6in out of a 4in SL. The only thing I would worry about is the upper control arms. SL has a drop cradle and knuckles that maintains factory drive angles. JBA offers UCA's that would work and be alot more safer than OEM.

I have decided when the time is right to throw in the towell with my WK, im going all out with it and turning it into a toy. A very expensive one at that..

Good Luck!!

Thanks alot bro! I'm really going haywire bout which way to go as far as lifting my Dub-K. I guess in the end, if I really want the quality I should have when I spend my hard earned money, I might as well go with the SL. Just bummed out that Zone lift kit isn't as described in the internet. I mean seriously, who'd publish a kit & say it's 4" and in the end, it really isn't!! If I were rich, I'd buy all the lift kits [Zone, SL and JBA] & mix and match to make a bomb ass lift like I stated earlier. Well, we'll see what I decide & how it goes in the end. Mahalo for your response!!

I've heard about the zone lift, quite dissapointing.. but remember the zone line is BDS's lower line stuff.

Stay away from the RK 3.5 lift too. I've heard that it doesn't give you a full 3.5in either.

SL or OME HD is your best bet. Hands down. I did a 2in daystar lift and I'm regretting it big time.

Your lucky to get 2 inches with the RK. That thing is a total POS.

The OME HD is a great lift but it is still inferior to the SL because the SL maintains the factory drive angles. With the crappy racks in these WK you want to be really careful with how to change those angles.
