Re: Snow Tires

Well, i switched cars with my girl today since she was nervous driving her mini in the snow. She just called me that some dude blew right through an intersection into her. So while I have amazing snow tires on my jeep, other assholes out there risk driving there cars with all season or summers and plow into my jeep. Granted, I wasnt there so I dont know if thats how it really went down. But awaiting pics of my poor jeep. And my girl and the other driver are fine. Apparently t boned my jeep into the driver side fender. I was more worried about my Scottina's OEM hid headlamps. I hope they are ok. haha. Keep you guys posted and sorry for the thread hi-jacking

Re: Snow Tires

i have bridgstone dueler h/t's and they blew through the snow like it was a tank.. i was at the army game at west point on saturday and its located on bear mtn in NY and i had absolutely no problem going up and down those valleys. Doing 50mph on the highway with a few inches of snow on the ground no problem. Everyone that was loaded in my jeep with me were highly impressed about how the bad boy handled.

Re: Snow Tires

I live in Vermont where we have to have the heat on 8 months out of the year (*mental note... Remind myself why I live here again?*) but anyway, I've actually worked in the tire industry for some time now and I personally run 245/65R17 BFG winter slalom on my 08 wk and I proffesionally and personally could not say enough good things about them. I'm glued to the road, very quite and smooth for winter tires. Very responsive and great handling on dry, wet, snow covered, and icy roads. I've tried the much more expensive michelins and was far happier with the BFG's not only performance wise but especially cost wise as well.

Out of curiousity, what kind of snow tires does everybody use?
