SRT-8 Replica Wheels

Hi,
by the way, great forum!!
Need some help..
Got a 2006 Overland Hemi and wanted to update the 17" wheels with the factory reproductions 20" chrome SRT-8 wheels.
I am undecided with regards to which setup to do.
I'm either going with the 9" all around or the staggered 9" front 10" rear.
If I go with the 9" all around, I was thinking of going with 265 50 20 tires.
I'm leaning more towards the staggered look with 265 50 20 front and 295 45 20 rear.
I like the 1" diameter difference because i find it fills up the wheel wells nicely.
Does anybody have this setup and if so is there any rubbing issues.
I know that the speedo will be slightly affected by the difference but since the overall diameter is the same all around, there shouldn't be any other issues.
Any comments are greatly appreciated. Also any pics of the same setup will also help.
Thanks,

Re: SRT-8 Replica Wheels

I went with 9 inches all around, its still quite a wide wheel considering your coming from stock at 7 inches. Plus you can rotate them

I went with a 275/45 just because potholes around chicago...
Your speedo will be a hair off, there are a few calculators out there. But if you get a diablosport preditor, you can change your tire size so your speedo reflects.

Welcome btw!

Re: SRT-8 Replica Wheels

Welcome

the closest ones to a stagered setup are Scott and Escape ... the widest tire combo I have seen in 275 up front and 315 rear

The stagered setup is sick and I wanted to do it that way

BTW I have the 20x8.5 IROC's with 275-40-20 and I love mine also

AB Jeepster, what size tires are you running with your staggered setup?

Thanks,
one word of caution, i was going for wider. low profile tires as the 245/60/18`s are not really that available.

Had i changed the standard stock, i was told i would invalidate my warranty if anything would happen to the drive train etc.

Maybe different in the US, but its worth finding out.

Re: SRT-8 Replica Wheels

I have staggered Viper reps but am running the same size tire all around. I used a tire calculator and the difference in height was very minimal, so I figured I would keep it simple.

BTW, the 1" difference is width of wheel, not diameter...

Re: SRT-8 Replica Wheels

Stock @ 60 mph = 60 mph. My SRT8 staggered set shows 61.1 mph for the fronts and 61.2 mph for the rears. not a bunch of difference. the only knock against the 285's on the back is availability vs a 9 inch tire... but I just liked the look better... nice pic of your Jeep with the Vipers.
