SRT Rear Sway Bar Install

Can someone please walk me thru the steps of installing the SRT sway bar including if the Jeep should be jacked up, axle lowered, which bolts to remove and in what order, etc? Or if it is already on the board, please just point me in that directions. I tried to look thru Scott's suspension thread but it will take me a while to get thru all 50+ pages.

Scottina - can you go thru that thread and take out all of the non-informative posts and lock it so it is not so huge? Just a suggestion...

Re: SRT Rear Sway Bar Install

Question - do I HAVE to buy new bushings? I don't think I did when I purchased the rear sway bar, but I am thinking I didn't based on something else I read on here. But everything I have read lately says TO purchase new bushings.

Thanks, but it doesn't look like that anymore. Have since added SRT grille and roof rails (delete) and its been lowered with SRT springs. Kinda mean looking now

Thanks for the info!

Re: SRT Rear Sway Bar Install

OK, according to the link Scott provided, the SRT rear sway is 20mm in diameter, but there are no Energy Suspension bushings with that measurement. Is it OK to go with the 22mm or should I go with the 16mm?

Sorry, don't have much experience with suspension components.

Re: SRT Rear Sway Bar Install

Never mind, they do have 20mm - Summit Racing does not.

Re: SRT Rear Sway Bar Install

It makes no sense to reinstall used rubber bushings, get new ones, and also new end links. The stock end links usually are shot by 35-40k. With just the rear SRT bar on, there is substantial understeer, so get the front one also
