SRT Reps on WK Limited

Ok so I just bought a set of SRT Reps the new spider ones for $700 from fast wheels - 20x9 for the fronts and 20x10 for the rears. So just want to know my options for tires. I know the stock SRTs are 255/45/20 on the front and 285/40/20 on the rears..im assuming installing these would have no impact whatsoever with the drive in regards to 4WD etc being staggered and all?!
What other combo could i put on these rims as I rather not get run flats (because of comfort and price) and finding the 285s are proving to be a bit of a hassle. I see Nitto's but they are out of stock in my area. Any help would be appreciated. I see people use 275/295/305s but not sure on the impact of using these as overall diameters will be different.

Re: SRT Reps on WK Limited

I've got the SRT Reps too. Go over to the SRT Forums and see what the guys are running. I went with siped 265/45 and 295/40-20 Toyo Proxes STII's on mine. I've had these tires before and love them. The ones I had on the stock wheels still have about half left on them after about 50K, and I am going to use them for winter use. Nittos are suppose to be pretty good too and cost a little less. I didn't like the tread pattern on them though. Also, some of the SRT guys are running something like 275-285/40 and 315/35-20's. Apparently that's about as big as you can go without interference. I've got about a half inch of clearance between the shock and the tire on the right rear. After seeing them on there for a while, I think I might go with the bigger ones next time, if I ever wear these out. One other thing, I didn't find one favorable comment on the stock Goodyear run flats, and they also cost about $500 a piece. Good luck on whatever you choose and let us know what you end up getting.

I am also running Toyo Proxes STII's on mine - love this tire!! See my signature below for tire sizes. Ran the same setup on my previous X5 (same tires and same sizes).

By the way, good job on getting the staggered setup. You will really like the looks of it. Not sure why everyone is so leary about doing this.

By the way, do you have a link to where you bought the wheels from?

Re: SRT Reps on WK Limited

Guys, I thought the BMW wheels are wider to accommodate the 275/315 combo? Our SRT8 wheel width might be slightly narrower to fit. I prefer to stay with the OEM sizing to avoid any clearance and fitment problems.

I am running this combo with no issues whatsoever - plus I have SRT springs on, so I am sitting lower too.

Let me see if I can find one or take one - Jeep is at the dealer now taking care of some things before I pass 100K miles!
