SRT8 Eibach/BWoody Coils on 18" rims question?

A lot of the jeep owners here who have slammed their jeeps with SRT8 Eibachs/BWoody's coils run 20 and 22 inch rims, which look great, but have a reputation forbeing a little bouncy and sometimes bottoming out when on rough roads.

I figure someone here has this set up and has run 18" rims, most likely as a winter wheel set, and can tell me if the ride is more comfortable and less prone to these issues. I'm just curious how much a taller sidewall changes the ride. I currently have 255/55 r18's.

Thanks.

Re: SRT8 Eibach/BWoody Coils on 18" rims question?

I had the srt eibachs on my 05 v-6. I ran those with the stock 17" with 70 series tires and the ride was not bad at all, no issues with bottoming out. Got even better when i replaced the shocks and struts with bilsteins.

I eventually ran some 20" Viper reps with that combo and still had almost no issues with bottoming out. I say almost as it did once in a blue moon when hitting some really rough pavement or railroad tracks at fast speed.

As far as the ride difference, quite noticable between the 17" and 20", but i wouldn't say it was a bad thing.

Re: SRT8 Eibach/BWoody Coils on 18" rims question?

Thanks, that's the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I want to stay with my 255/55 r18 because my local roads have a lot of pot holes and drainage dips. Currently I have OEM srt coils and srt bilsteins and they work great, but once you start to mod, you get that ich to go lower...

Anyone else have experience with 17 or 18 rims on a slammed ride?
