Suspension

I'm replacing my shocks for the first time on my 06 Laredo. What brands work best?

Re: Suspension

I think that really depends on what you're using the rig for. Is it an off road or street jeep, or do you just want close to stock performance?

Re: Suspension

I had WK Bilsteins and now Koni FSD. The Bilsteins were horrible, and I would never recommend then. very rough and bouncy with poor handling and no feel of control. FSD's are great, outstanding handling and very controlled, flat ride, firm but not rough. They are not sold in the US though and $ 1400 shipped from Netherlands. They are more of a PITA to install the fronts, as the lower control arms had to be removed since the bodies are longer than stock.
Can't talk about any others, never tried them. I would much sooner put on new stock units and replace them every 40k than put on WK Bilsteins.

Re: Suspension

It's just a street ride. Very little off roading besides the little bit of screwing off.

Re: Suspension

I went with Bilstein and they are great. Not bouncy at all. I'll let you know how they come in a couple of months but so far so good.

Re: Suspension

X2 on the bilsteins I have the 5100's set at 3/4 setting in front. 5100 shocks in the back. SRT sways and bwoody endlinks. Ride and handling are great not to bouncy.
