Back around Thanksgiving, I installed an OME HD kit on my 05 5.7. At that time I also installed UCA's by JBA. I put on 17*8.5 KMC Rockstars with a +35 offset wrapped in 265/70/17 BFG KO2's. The ride was much better than stock but after awhile, it was lose in the corners and I was getting some clunking over bumps.
I had the sway bar bushings replaced and that helped for a little bit but a couple months later, the noise was back. My mechanic said that my sway bars and links had pre-tension due to the change in ride height and this was causing the bushings to wear at a higher rate.
I bought some Bwoody links that were 1.5" longer than stock and added those to some SRT sway bars(shout out to bxcharger for the great deal!!!!!). This completely changed the way the Jeep handled. Everything is so much more crisp through the corners and there's almost no body roll even at 50mph. The little bumps and clunks have gone away and I feel very planted on the highway at speeds of 80+.
Overall, I absolutely love this set up. I think it rides the way a Jeep should, sturdy yet nimble. I've taken in down some trails and it handles flawlessly.
If you're debating on which lift, I would say don't waste time with the budget lifts and just save up for the real deal. But make sure you have extended links and new UCA's.
I'll post some pictures soon. Just thought I'd share my experience and try to help out fellow members.
