The beat to death question - Tire size on 20's

I'm getting a set of WK2 overland take-offs without tires. I'm one of those weird people that like the look of AT tires on 20's.

I've been reading a ton of threads to see if I can fit 275/55R20's under a stock ride height WK?

I bought some 1.5" spacers that I'm not set on using and also the tiny leveling lift plate for the front end (I know this doesn't help upper arm bolt clearance, but it will help the fenders).

Also, if i do go with this or another oversize tire, will the dealer recalibrate the speedo, or is there another option?

Thanks for any help, even though it is the question asked over and over.

Bump? Looks like I might have some brand new, incorrectly sized tires for sale soon.

they should fit.. i dont know if you will necessarily need the spacers. you will prob hit the pinch weld.

if you look in the members thread at the "story of redemption"... he is running a 275/55 on a set of srt rims and it looks amazing. i plan on going that route by next spring.

Thanks guys. It's amazing how you can search and read, search and read and still miss the obvious threads.
I'm glad you pointed out the threads where people actually put the 274's on the Jeep. I can buy in confidence.
Thanks!!

I think I'm going to orderthe Hankook RF10's.

Any of you guys with these....does a spare even fit? What are you doing for a spare?

a spare comparable to a 275/55 will be a 255/75, which will not fit in the spare tire location without trimming the hitch. i mean you could air it down to 10 psi, and wedge it up there if you wanted..

Trimming the hitch is doable. Checked out some threads on that. Thanks!
