Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

For my knowledge, does the car need to be jacked up to remove the rear sway bar? I have my eye on a Commander and want to go get the rear sway bar off. What size sockets are needed to remove the sway bar brackets and also the nut and bolt from the links? Im pretty sure if I go with 2 rachets w/sockets and another wrench I can have that sway bar off the car in about 2 minutes.

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I walked by a commander today and thought how easy it would be to actually just take the sway bar off. 6 bolts and its off. And no, its not going to be from someones driveway, I dont steal, there's a few at the Jeep dealership close. Lol.

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I have a set of front bilstein that just arrived from the states but I need a pair of rears as well and I will not have another shipping window for another 5 weeks or so. As a result I am looking into getting some in Germany or Greece but the EU and US part numbers are not the same. Does anybody know if the US and EU bilsteins are the same ? Part numbers are as follow.

Front: US Part number BE5-D721-H0
EU Part number BE5-D272

Rear: US Part number BE5-722-HO
EU part number BE5-D273
