Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Got everything last night, I am gonna start painting stuff this weekend.

Took off the rear sway last night to paint it too.

I have a question though

How tight do i wanna put this nut? ( the red arrow, sorry i stole this from the other thread... And just to let you know, you dont need a spring compressor... I felt foolish going into the shop, and them taking them into the back and realizing it, told me not to worry about it)

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

can i just swap out all the springs with srt8 ones and get a nice drop or should i go with the eibach's because they are so much easier to obtain!

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

i got this one

You can put srt springs onto your current set up. But again, the stock jeep shocks arent that good and you wont see much of a ride improvement, other than just a lowering

I have a set of OEM srt springs if you are interested

Yea just get it tight. I guarentee a shop you take it to will not torque that nut if they put them on, just get it kinda tight.

How much? I think my ride is fine personally, but then again this is only my 2nd Jeep had an older WJ but yea if its reasonable I would like to possibly add this mod. It would add a more agressive stance right. Is this a complicated install financially?

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

the srt springs will lower you slightly...1----1 1/4" The handling will be slightly better. the install would be eeasy for a good mechanic. maybe take an hour. Then the cost of an alignment....

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I am looking for the best setup for my 06 Overland, and the most important thing to me is smooth highway ride and smooth over bumps, as the roads around here are pothole marred. The stock setup is too wallowy, and I don't want too stiff a ride, as the reviews from Motor Trend on the SRT8 suspension in a recent comparison test to other SUV's were pretty bad on roads that are not smooth.
