Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

How does these measurements look? I took a before measurements but i couldnt find the paper i wrote in on

Front- roughly 32''
Driver Rear- 32 3/4''
Pass Rear - 32 5/8''

Fairly accurate with SRT springs and stock shocks?

I think the member i bought it off from said around 10k? miles. Im assuming it'll drop a lil more after time passes?

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Sounds a bit low, mine was 32 1/2" front, 32 3/4" rear (talking about SRT Eibachs)

My rear dropped another 1/4" in the rear after 200 miles of driving. I have the srt springs and srt bilsteins. I think the shorter srt bilstiens lower my rear a bit more, Front 32 and Rear 32.25. Your numbers are close to mine.

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I'm going to be ordering Bwoody springs and WK Bilstiens this week, and I'll have them installed hopefully before the new year... can't wait!

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I know this has been asked so I apologize in advance. I just bought an 08 grand Cherokee with 4.7 and have been reading a ton of threads on lowering it a little. After seeing wk eibachs and wk bilsteins it does not look to drop it enough. I am now looking at srt eibachs and wk bilsteins. My problem is I can't decide on tire size. Living in Chicago I would like little more tire but not sure if a 255/50/50 will fit or look to big. Any suggestions? Thanks

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I'm not a street guy so I'm not sure about the WK bilstein combo WITH srt eibachs... BUT WK Bilsteins will RAISE you 3/8"... so I dont think wk bilsteins are the way to go if youre lowering...

I know people say they get 1 inch of drop from srt bilsteins paired with srt springs.. you might get 1.5" or so of drop with srt bilsteins and srt eibach springs. but if you go with WK bilsteins, any drop you get from springs will most likely be negated a bit by the WK bilsteins since they raise you a little under a half inch.

also be aware SRT bilsteins are very pricey.

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

The price of the SRT bilsteins is what turns me off of them. I am looking to lower it, but not slam it on the ground thats why I thought the SRT eibachs with the WK bilsteins would be a nice combo. If I could get close to 1.5" with that combo I think that would be perfect for driving around Chicago with the 275/45/20 tires. Anyone running this set up?
Thanks!

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

yea i hear ya. sorry I can be much help but maybe the math itself may be of assistance.. if srt bilsteins and srt springs give you 1" of drop.. find out the difference in all the parts and just do the math.. wk bilsteins raise you 3/8".. so if eibachs (we will make this number up..) are say .5" shorter than stock srt springs and those stock srt springs with srt bilsteins drop you 1"... you will get 1.5" drop with eibachs and srt bilsteins.. but with wk bilsteins and eibachs youll get 3/8" less than 1.5" due to the lift from wk bilsteins... so you would be looking at maybe 1.2" of drop.?

(im just throwing out numbers here for example)... you see what I'm saying though, right?

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I appreciate the help and I see what your saying. I am just not sure what the exact drop is with the SRT eibachs? I have heard different numbers, but I think it is more than 1.5". If it is then I am good and the set up should be what I am looking for.
Thanks

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

^ if you are going lower than stock srt springs(wk eibachs are same) then you REALLY SHOULD go with srt biltsteins. Yes ,some have not and SEEM to be ok that way. I have wk eibachs on wk bilsteins.... (regretted it since the 2nd week) and i also cut my front stock coils lower(than the eibachs) for summer, and the wk bilsteins just dont cut it, IMO.

FWIW these are (from what ive read) WAY better without being so expensive: Adjustable Rear Shocks qa1 stocks, srt8 adjustable shocks, [] - $170.00 : Stage6 Motorsports, Online Parts Store

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I recently installed the SRT Bilstein shocks in the front and the SRT OEM springs and I can tell you that they do not look any lower, did not measure from the get go but the gap looks even the same as before... I know I know I should have measured but it seems that the older the shock gets the lower it will go! I just purchased the roadmagnet set and Im hoping the front will drop significantly, the rear went down quite a bit with the SRT OEM springs and the (USED) SRT Bilstein shocks, once the springs arrive it will be a different beast... well at least I think so!

I will post pics once it arrives!

set up is 245-45-20 WK non SRT
