Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Well thanks alot for this info.My GC have 140 000KM and its a 4x4,my shock are completely gone.Im bouncing left-right-up and down thats crazy.I really need a new suspension. So i finally choose to go with H&R springs and bilstein HD shocks.I know im not gonna have a big difference in height cause my stock springs have probably settle a lot but im more looking for a stiffer ride and a level looks. There is a picture of my jeep with the boat im towing. For now i don't feel it at all cause its so well balance. .IMG_0364.jpg

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I was wondering if the SRT bilsteins will work on a stock height vehicle or one with a slight lift- or will they be over extended?

They will be over extended. Only use SRT Bilsteins with lowering coils. The SRT bilstein is potentially unsafe on a stock or raised coil since the SRT's are SHORTER and may top out and fail. If you are willing to spend that kind of money, for a few hundred more the FSD struts/shocks might be the ticket for what you want. Contack DMSFUN and read his posts.

THIS. Happened to me, took them off the next day. Borderline dangerous to put SRT bilsteins on a stock-height (or lifted) WK. Hell, you'd probably have to prop up the axle just to get the shocks to bolt in (they're that short).

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Great Thread. I read through most of it and got some great info. I want to make sure I'm on the right track though. For my 2006 Overland, I've purchased the WK Eibachs and am going to buy the following:

Rear Sway Bar - Item # 52124303AA
2 Bushings - Item # 52124302AC
2 sway bar mounting brackets-52090271AB

Front Sway Bar - Item # 52090154AG
2 Bushings - Item # 52090155AH

Questions:
Do I need to cut the bump stops when I install the Eibachs?
Do I need to buy the End Links for the Rear sway bar?
Any other advise before I install everything?

hmmm...tough question as Ive seen some bwoody links fail on owners. I would spend the extra cash...get the SRT oem setup on your nonSRT.

trim them for more travel...maybe 1/2"

no endlinks are required

Enjoy!
