Not sure if you saw my post on another thread, asking where you got the srt sway bar for about 100, because when I went on J4J's.com the rear sway bar kit is over 300.

Hello Timmy I got the Eibach Springs and oe shocks with addco sway bars zero lean and I got 275/45/20 tires, I do get a bouncy ride in the rear So i may add srt8 rear shocks to the set up I will look to see if this will work.

The SRT/Commander rear sway bar is on my list. I have the SRT Eibachs with stock shocks and have zero bounce because I never cut the bump stops. lol. There is prob 2" of travel back there, which I actually like. Very stiff and hardly moves....The only thing id think about doing is buying polyurethane bump stops for the rear, other than that im happy.

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I am still trying to figure out what Spring/shock combo I should run..

Will the SRT Eibach lower the jeep as much as the bwoody's will?

The SRT shocks are 614.08 after 5% discount. Do I just bite the bullet and get those with the bwoody springs? That will bring the grand total to just shy of 1000 bucks.

I don't want the wk shocks because i dont want the added 3/8th inch. Any other shock options? What about the KYB shocks? anyone on this site have any reviews of them?

Or do i just get the SRT Springs, keep stock shock, and use that?

I know someone on the site has the bwoody springs on stock shocks... How bad is the ride on those? I am just a little weary of putting that much on the stockers, Could that cause them to leak?

You will get more drop with the Bwoodys than the SRT Eibachs....just barely though...maybe 1/2" more

I highly recommend the SRT Bilsteins or the WK Bilsteins with either of the SRT drop springs. 3/8" is not that much considering the $300 price difference of the SRT Bilsteins. I believe the KYB's and other shocks for the WK are meant to be stock replacements.

The SRT OEM springs on stock WK shocks will get you 1-1.5" drop.

I dont recommend the SRT Eibachs or Bwoodys on the stock wk shocks/struts. Just my opinion. But Travisl23 has them and loves them and no problems that I know of. I do know that TimmyB blew one front strut with his eibachs.

One thing I should throw out there....Ksport is building a coilover suspension for the WK SRT that will work on the non-SRT WK. The deposit for them is $500 with $900 due before they ship. Contact Robpp to get in on that.

Thanks for the response.

Over the years, I've learned that buying the newest stuff doesn't always work out. I've bought lots a bike parts from local pros who got them as prototypes, and although it seemed awesome i had the newest, unreleased part, they often broke and I was SOL on warrantees of any sort. I've been riding a pair of old cranks for the last 2 weeks because my originals are getting replaced.

I havnt done much research into the idea of coilovers, how is the ride quality? I want a little bit of travel. I may wait until they have has a few miles put on them and refined before buying a set. Also how adjustable will they be... I saw 3 inches, but is that 3 inches from having the tire touch the wheel well or what?

I may just go with the WK and bwoody's to get something similar to the srt's shock and srt eibach, which will still be cheaper.

Most likely to happen after christmas, then youll see a lot of posts from me

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

to go the cheap method which I am doing is to buy the srt8 eibachs for the lowest drop and get the wk bilsteins ... I found both of them on ebay for a total of around $550 + shipping ...

I will look for the links later on today ... I'm at work

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

The WK Shocks are 84 x 2 for fronts and 63 x 2 for rear along with the SRT lowering springs that are 245 (tirerack)... Which is like 539 + shipping

The wk shocks and bwoody's are 664 + shipping.. Which I might splurge on to get that extra half inch of drop.

The SRT8 Shocks and bwoody's are 984 + shipping... Which is a little too rich for my blood right now as christmas is right around the corner.

Scott, if i buy the bwoodys and wk shocks, do i need to buy any upgraded bumpstops or do i just modify the ones i have? Any additional hardware required?

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

thwe bwoodys will come with new energy suspension bump stops...make sure to follow the directions. No additional hardware needed.

Most of the SRT guys modify the SRT Eibachs bumpstops for more travel...thats probably what your thinking of.

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

When you say WK shocks do you mean the Bilsteins or just stock WK shocks? I have the srt eibachs with stock WK shocks and the ride is fine unless I go over a large bump on highways then it seems to want to bottom out. But the highways areound here are junk. If the roads are fairly decent where you are I wouldnt bother with new shocks, just my 2 cents. Like when I took a long ride up to Maine before the roads and highways are great and the ride was perfect.
