Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

well i figured id share some numbers with those talkinga bout lowering with SRT springs...

current set-up is XK Hemi coils with bilstein HDs up front and JBA strut spacer installed. rear consist of SRT springs and bilstein HDs. running 32s with jk 18s:

front: 18.5" hub to fender, 33" ground to fender
rear: 19.25-19.5" hub to fender, 34" ground to fender

love this set up. i actually replaced XK rear coils with the SRTs and it dropped the ass end almost 2".

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

hey Scott,

thanks all info. Do you know if the WK bilsteins can be combined with my existing SRT springs (have 2009 diesel oveland, SRT springs and rims all around)? The local dealer says type Bilsteins B6 (neither HD nor 4600) at a price of about euro 400 for the fronts only (which are more expensive than the OEMs for which jeep has quoted around euro 320 - no labor included).

Front struts wear around 56%
Rear struts wear around 45%

The car is a bit 'floaty' especially the front part

what do you think ??

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Have changed the OEM suspension today. Installed WK Bilsteins all around - already had SRT springs on. It looks a bit higher now but feels absolutely fantastic......The handling is great, much less rolling and much much better response over bumps !!!.

There is absolutely no comparison with the OEM suspension

I love the ride now. Definitely worth the money......

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

these are pretty standard WK bilsteins in my area it's the model is B6 sport. - so no levelling in that sense - except that the jeep is lower due to the startech springs only.

Now thinking to replace sway bars. Probably the SRT sway will be a good choice

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Please help me make a decision, new to the Jeep world. I'd like to improve the ride of our WK w/ 82k miles. Can WK Bilsteins be used with SRT OEM springs without bottoming out the shock? Looking at WK Bilsteins, the SRT springs, rear SRT sway, and 255/45/20's. Is this a good start with an 06' 5.7?
