not calling you out Timmy....but I dont understand how it rides fine with you riding on the bumpstops. You need to do the eibach bumpstop fix and you will be amazed.

If the roads are fairly decent where you are I wouldnt bother with new shocks, just my 2 cents. Like when I took a long ride up to Maine before the roads and highways are great and the ride was perfect.
not to pick on you Timmy but the stock shocks are complete POS ... Mopars guarantee is only 50000 cuz they know they are crap too ... plus from what I know the wk bilsteins will raise ur ride a slight bit (thanks for the great info Scott) and they are much better for a lowered ride especially one that has been lowered like urs with the srt8 eibachs ... just IMHO ...

the stock shocks will eventually give out because of the lowered ride happens to almost every car that has been lowered at least to my integra when I lowered it by 2 inches and my 03 jetta and my gfs beetle ...

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Call me completely nuts, but I like how the rear feels. On regular roads I never bottom out even in the rear. The only time i do bottom out, front and rear is over this same odd hump thing on the way home from work everyday, but I can see many cars bottoming out also because there's actually marks or gouges in the road right after it. Its like a bump in the road followed right after by a dip in the road so the car seems to go up then slam down.

Believe me, I know the Bilsteins would be a better ride and when I finally blow my shocks I will switch them out, just not right now. Im cheap.

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I will be doing the WK bilsteins with the bwoody springs... Ive been looking into a ton of old threads and it seems the bwoody will deliver exactly what I want, and i KNOW the stockers are crap... I just want to wait until winter is over to get the suspension and wheels and tires... And for my lady to graduate and start her job

Thanks again for all the information. I will try to get a really detailed write up and video of the install and plenty of pictures

Edit: and the roads in the burbs of chicago and the city itself are horrible too..

Re: The complete (05-09) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Im going to buy them when I place my order..better to just replace them since they are so cheap anyway. I would think that since the bar is thicker, the bushings would be different than stock, so the brackets would be a little different too? btw.. where you ordering from bro? i found that mopar parts america is actually cheaper then j4j..

Yup, from J4J. Came to around $120 with the 5% JG discount but I didnt end up going thru with it. I had a girl over and asked if she had a credit card on her because I wanted a sway bar for my car, then she tossed it to me and said order whatever I want. Last second I kinda felt bad about it so passed on it. This is the same girl who gave me a $300 gift certificate to a car alarm shop near me for christmas and all I got her was a plastic ring from a gumball machine, but I did wrap it up with a nice bow.
