thx for the feedback... the two places i talked to about the install and thoughts recommended the medium stiffness so it sounds like its the right way to go. it appears also that the Jeep dealership can install and add in a module that regulates speedometer properly once you've increased tire size. i can save some labor by going to a local 4x4 shop so i'm weighing out pro's and cons.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Dealer can only adjust speedo to 2" of tire size increase. Anything above will have to be fixed with aftermarket products.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

These Jeeps are so sick. I'm completely naive when it comes to this, so let me ask one question as I only have the Jeep as a daily driver..is it alright to drive it lifted all year round? And I mean with the huge tires, suspension alterations, plating, etc.

yea it's fine. It'll lower your mpg a little with the bigger tires but outside of that you'll be fine.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

I have put a 100,000 miles on my Superlift with no probs. IMO the ride is better than stock, with the exception of how fast I take a corner. As for a lifted daily driver with the occasional off-road jaunt, you are gonna want a good set of all terrain tires such as BF Goodrich TA/KO's. Whatever size rim and tire combo you use, this is just my personal opinion, DO NOT USE WHEEL SPACERS! I use spacers for my current set and it is a pain to have to remove the wheels every 2,000 miles to re-torque the wheel spacers. BTW, I do have blue lok-tite on the spacer lug nuts, but better safe than have a wheel fly off while on the interstate.

Thanks for the responses..i'm really considering lifting, and the question of wheel spacers and what kind of tires would be best came to mind with all of my other concerns. Also, the largest tire I could put on my WK that would NOT require spacers... Figured i'd ask the pros (you guys), and I appreciate it!
