Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Question so the girl is ordering me a BB for christmas if I want it for sure. I have decided the OEM is the best solution but not the most cost effective at the time. Especially after the new bilsteins went in after I purchased the truck.

My question is Poly or metal? I live in michigan by the way so we get all the elements.

Poly sags after some time I hear. Plus can't go wrong w the strength of metal on metal. Just my 2 cents!

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

The RRO is both. metal up front and poly in the back. the poly in the rear helps to maintain the factory ride quality.

I am partial to the RRO because I have it. I don't think you can go wrong with either lift. As far as a BB goes, those are the two I would go with.

It just so happens that when I lifted mine, RRO was the only option (daystar might have been out too, can't remember).

The only other lifted WK I have seen in person is JonJon's. He has the 3.5 Rock Krawler. He might chime in here for you but he has told me he doesn't like it, so I would steer clear of that one.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

I just seems from the majority of members on here it seems like RK or RRO is the two of choice. I think that I will go with the RRO just for the reason that when I first purchased the jeep this was the kit i wanted. Then after becoming a member here it kind of convinced me even more.

I do agree though with the previous discussion we had had the the OME is the best lift overall, but the price is just out of my range at this time. Especially with new tires hopefully coming up in the near future. Also 95% of my driving if not more will be road.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

No question OME is the way to go, but that isn't a BB. Just give yourself some time, like the rest of us you will want to go bigger.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Thats what I figure this is my first SUV and it will be my first time ever lifting anything (on a vehicle lol, i can see the jokes coming). So a BB sounds like that right starter for me just to learn about it and see how it is.

They just look so good lifted. I have always been a street guy, but I don't know the lift look is sharp.

WARNING: It's addicting!

Before my WK, I had a WJ. Before that, I had a lowered Integra. I lifted the WJ with just a BB because I thought it'd be enough and because it was my daily driver. Well it didn't take long before I wanted to go taller. When I got my WK I just went "big" from the start lol
