Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

I got a big grin accompanied by a thumbs up from a Highway Patrol while I was doing 90 down an interstate! He came out of nowhere and I thought I was SCREWED until he pulled up next to me and then sped off. I didn't even know what to make of it.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Help guys - I promised my chick a good setup on her wk 4x4 (its stock), but I have already gone through the headache of doing this on my own...and want hers to be easier and more importantly...cheaper!

I am think of just keeping her stock... suspension (no lift), and no spacers. Just powdercoat her rims black, and hook her up with some beefier tires than the lame street ones she has. What is the biggest I can throw on there for her without major rubbing. I have 265x70R17s on my wk diesel and had bad rubbing...with a 2" OME lift. It took forever to get the scrapping right on that one. Any thoughts?

This question comes up all the time, actually it's kinda of nauseating how often it's asked. I would suggest doing a search and you will find your answer.

you cant go much bigger than stock if you dont want to put spacers or a lift... you should know that after having your OME lift my man!

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Surprised that 3.7L actually gets through that sand. It's like mine, right? Lacks the 4Lo?

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Megatron: I'll record a clip soon for ya
Tamerin: The 3.7 with QT1 does pretty well off road surprisingly, I've never had a problem in deep sand or any conditions for that matter. Thus far lol. It does lack the 4lo, it's the full time 4WD drive system. The trick is to disable the ESP system, it really does help in the sand.

what are you running on that thing, BEvensen?
Looking at doing the rro with rubi take-offs but... Worried about major rubbing. Luckly I can try before I buy. By brother has a wj running rubi take offs and has an extra set of 265 70r17 so I can test the options.
