How easy is it to install myself? Will I need any special tools?

Tons of great rigs in here. Really inspiring. Here's a shot of a WK I once spotted in SF:

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

Hey everyone, new here and have a quick question...

I have an 06 WK HEMI that I want to lift. Think I have decided on the RR 2.25 suspension lift with the OME spring and shocks.

Any recomendations on the lift decision and is a superchip of some sort a must?

Do not stack the OME springs with RRO lift. You will be asking for serious problems. Go with 1 or the other. Or just keep saving up and buy the SL.

Re: The Official Lifted WK Thread

I noticed your WK is on the RR site...I dont want to do the SL. Ill do a little off-roading, but nothing serious. I noticed some bottoming out where I hunt this year so i just want to upgrade my suspension a little and get a nice lift. How much lift will I get if I just get the OME kit?

The OME HD kit will net you about 3 inches of lift.

I've got the OME HD, and depending on your engine size and how much weight you plan to add (skids, front guard, steel bumpers, etc) You should net roughly 3" or so. The OME is a solid lift, the ride quality is MUCH better than stock. No more floaty feeling in the steering wheel.

If you wanted a little more height, you could use a set of rusty's 1/4" spacers up front giving you another 1/2" of lift and their poly spacer trimmed down to give you another 1.5" of lift in the rear. If you do the spacers on top of the OME you will need a few more parts though. In front: JBA or RRO upper control arms would be a good idea to help correct the angle some. For the rear: Extended sway bar links, adjustable track bar, and notching the fuel tank skid would be a good idea. I'm planning to do all of these mods very soon. It's as close as I can get to the height of the SL lift without the extra cost for install. Omelet, Oscar, and a few others used to run this same style of lift with little to no problems at all. It's a good alternative if you want some extra height for clearance purposes.
