I literally just ordered a pair of Moog Front Sway Links from RockAuto... only cost $46 shipped!
i think the 46$ may be for one only.. i could be wrong though. also, i started a thread but might as well ask in here as well ... if i were to replace the front sway bar end links and bushings.. is there a difference/advantage going with Moogs vs. OEM vs. DEEZA vs. Bwoodys ? other than price and the fact the bwoodys are super beefy. prices vary so much.. not sure which are good or not.. especially for a lifted WK.

its for two... they're only $18.37 each + shipping.

Alot of people around the forums swear by Moog parts. They are way less expensive vs oem which seems to make them the clear choice. Give you an example... i called my local dealer and was quoted $54 EACH for oem replacements... even with my buddy's discount id still be paying almost double the price of the moogs.

Re: Thump/clunking sound only when going over bumps..

I put on Moog end links about 20k ago and they seem equivalent to OEM. Moog are good parts, as long as you stay away from their TPR (thermoplastic rubber) suspension bushings, which coldflow when compressed and you end up with excessive backlash in no time. Been there, done that !!

Re: Thump/clunking sound only when going over bumps..

I just installed my Moog Sway links yesturday. Only took me about 30mins and thats without taking off the tires! I found it easiest to remove both lower bolts first. Pull the ends of the sway bar down to gain access to the upper nut/bolt on the links. Then re-install everything in reverse order, only finger tight at first. I used a jack to raise one side of the jeep about an inch to get one of the lower link bolts to line up with the LCA. Finally, fully tighten and torque everything down (85ft/lbs - lower bolts and 80 ft/lbs - upper bolts) once on level ground.

Tools i used:

- 1/2 Drive Ratchet with extendable handle for better leverage
- 1/2 Drive Torque Wrench
- 18mm deep & shallow socket
- 18mm open end wrench
- wd40
- 3-ton jack
- dual flood lights (for heat and extra light, haha)

Super easy!

*make sure so pre-soak everything with some WD40, it made a world of a difference in removing all the hardware*

**EDIT**

forgot to report... there was a noticeable difference in the overall steering response while driving around today and MOST of my front end chatter/clunking has gone away. I still think my UCA's need replacing. Guess ill wait till its warmer out to do that job.

Yep, I agree! Just changed all of the above on my '05, took care of the clunk going over bumps, and raised the front end almost an inch. I can't believe how much better this thing rides!!

How long should it take a garage to replace the bushes on the sway bar and also to replace the sway bar links? It is a 2005 Grand Cherokee.

I took my 2006 GC to Belle Tire and they had it ready for me to pick up in a few hours. They gave me new sway links and bushings for the front for less than $250!

Do you mean how long will they charge you for or how long will it take?

They are both easy jobs that should take under an hour total. I replaced mine in under an hour without a lift.

I don't know what the book time for those jobs are, but I would guess 1.5 to 2 hours labor.

The parts are only about $60, easy to replace, took me less than an hour, with no lift.

Thanks. Most garages seem to be quoting about 2 hours labour on average. Parts are about £60 for bushes and links.
