I have replaced the shock absorbers and had Monroe shock absorbers fitted. Driving it is okay and steering is fine, but the thumping persists although not as bad as previously when one shock was leaking.j Mechanic has checked all the usual suspects regarding linkage and bushes and cannot see anything wrong.
Can any one suggest anything please? Thanks
Just to add the mechanic only did a visual inspection as it was in for front brake pads at the time and did not remove anything.
I have noticed that when going over a large bump in the road i.e. "sleeping policeman" the vehicle creaks quite loudly. I also noticed this when coming off the pavement back onto the road.
The vehicle has also undergone a road worthiness test in the UK and passed with flying colours.
Can any one offer any suggestions what could be causing the thumping when going over manhole covers etc and also the creaking? Thanks.
